Dr. Z Amps – 2005 Maz 18 Jr. Combo – Cream

This used Dr. Z Maz 18 Jr. Combo is the quintessential club amp – loaded with a powerful 30-watt, 12″ Celestion G12H speaker and capable of some aggressive gain. It has plenty of headroom, though, so you can get some nice and chimey clean tones, but raw overdrive tones are as easily dialed-in. This model has built-in reverb, too – as well as being incredibly pedal-friendly – making it even more versatile. It offers 18 watts of power, perfect for smaller venues, but if you’re playing somewhere larger you can easily mic it for extra volume. It’s powered by two EL84 power tubes, four 12AX7 and one 12AT7 preamp tubes, and a single 5AR4 rectifier, and it sounds phenomenal, whether you’re playing loud onstage or quiet on the couch. It has all the controls you need to find your tone, in addition to Hi and Lo channel inputs. This model was built in 2005 and is in Excellent condition overall. The cover has only one small tear on the bottom-front (see photo), and it includes a fitted cover.
