It Came Upon the Midnight Clear for flute sextet
$ 12.60
This flute choir arrangement provides for much interplay between the parts, with each having prominence in different phrases. Choirs that have an E-flat flute might enjoy using it for the first flute part to experience the different timbre that instrument exhibits. The sweet, lyrical melody was composed in 1849 by Richard S. Willis, a music critic for the New York Herald Tribune. Edmund H. Sears wrote the words to this familiar Christmas hymn at the request of a friend. Some of the notable words are: “The world in solemn stillness lay to hear the angels sing.” Listen /wp-content/uploads/2015/07/mp3-it-came-upon-the-midnight-clear-by-ann-cameron-pearce.mp3Performed by the Raleigh Flute Choir
