Kitten on the Keys for flute quintet
$ 9.90
In 1921, Zez Confrey (1895-1971) composed this novelty piano solo, inspired by his grandmother’s cat scampering along her piano keyboard. It was the first of his many pieces exhibiting the ragtime genre, and was one of his biggest sellers. He was born in Peru, Illinois, and studied at the Chicago Musical College where he became enthralled by French impressionists, a style that also played a critical role in how he composed and performed music. If this flute quintet is expanded to include piccolo and contrabass flute, it will be even more fun! Listen /wp-content/uploads/2020/03/mp3-kitten-on-the-keys-by-ann-cameron-pearce.mp3
