Design Engineering 010400 Heat Screen 36″ x 40″ Adhesive Aluminized Mylar Radiant Matting (10 sq. ft.)

We used this to line the top of the opening for a single wall oven in my kitchen cabinets. We have the microwave sitting above and I wanted to make sure heat from the oven wouldn’t be a problem. It was very easy to cut and form to the area. We did put an extra bit of support by stapling in small shims of wood just in case but probably was overkill. The adhesive was very sticky but you could reposition it if you were careful to not press too hard before you had it where you wanted. Works great and my microwave area stays nice and cool even when running my oven at 540 degrees for pizza. [...]
